1st Aid TrainingKudu's Adventure Training Days - open to all

Our adventure training days are crammed full of practical information geared specifically to the adventure biker. These courses will be highly relevant to anyone considering embarking on their own worldwide trip, or just wants to prepare themselves for life on the roads back home. All training is delivered by qualified and highly experienced professionals in their field of expertise.

Adventure biker's First-aid - 1 Day (£59 Saturday 18th April 2009)

  • Basic first-aid introduction and theory
  • Stopping bleeding
  • Dealing with fractures and dislocations
  • Illness and disease
  • Max 10 students

Adventure biker's Mechanics - 1 Day (£59 Sunday 19th April 2009)

  • Basic motorcycle mechanics theory
  • Preventative maintenance and basic repairs
  • Fault finding theory
  • Fault finding practical
  • Max 10 students

Bike trainingKudu's Pre-Expedition Training

All pre-trip training for our customers is included in price and ranges from 1 day training and orientation days for our shorter trips, to in-depth, 4 day packages for those joining our biggerexpeditions. In addition we conduct en-route training for off-road novices to make sure that our amazing adventures are a real possibility for riders of different levels of experience. Held in the run up to the departure date, itis intended that all expedition members will attend, which will give people a chance to get to know one another in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

A summary of how we approach safety is as follows:

  • Pre-departure instrcution on and off road.
  • Detailed briefings and rider notes on each day's travel covering all predicted safety aspects.
  • The use of professionally qualified mechanics to maintain your motorcycle and keep it safe to ride.
  • The use of professional medics on our bigger trips.

The pre-expedition training will be held over two weekends for the bigger trips, and one day for the shorter trips in the run up to the departure date.  It is intended that all expedition members will attend, which will give people a chance to get to know one another in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. 

A summary of the topics to be covered is as follows:

  • Awareness of the hazards associated with riding and driving in developing countries
  • Techniques for safe riding and driving in rural and urban areas
  • Safe riding techniques
  • Equipment familiarisation
  • Basic bike and 4x4 maintenance and repair

We will try and remain as flexible as possible to the needs of expedition members and where extra training is deemed necessary, we will endeavour to provide.  Specific dates for training will be given nearer to departure days.
